Oreo Pakoda: This Bizarre Creation In Ahmedabad Has Left Netizens Confused

Bizarre food combinations seem to be ruling the streets these days. Maggi milkshake, chocolate chai, butter chicken gol gappa and many such unique street foods have been making waves now. Some impress us to no end but some just leave us confused, and often unhappy. One such bizarre food combination came to the fore recently in Ahmedabad, and netizens can't stop cringing - Oreo Pakoda. Yes, you read that right. A street food stall in Ahmedabad has grabbed the attention of social media users for their pakoda made with popular Oreo biscuits. Originally posted by food vlogger Amar Sihori on his YouTube channel 'Foodie Incarnate', the three-minute video shows the complete recipe of Oreo pakodas. It begins with the Youtuber giving an introduction to the stall, that has been there for 15 years, selling the special delicacy. The stall owner tells vlogger how the kids love it and goes on to show how it is made.

He first makes a besan batter with salt and water in it, then dips the biscuits in the batter completely. He then deep-fries each biscuit in hot oil. When crispy and golden, the stall owner serves it hot with some boiled mirchi and khajur chutney on the side.

The video went viral in no time and has garnered more than 1 lakh views and hundreds of comments since November 4. And the internet wasn’t impressed. " After few years:- Oreo ki sabji with kulcha” wrote one user. Another said “After few years - le lo bhai Oreo dum biriyani *500 rupees kg”. Some even questioned the legitimacy of the fact that the stall has been selling it for 15 years as a user wrote “Oreo ko launch hue 11 saal hue hai india me or uncle 20 saal se Oreo ke pakode sell rahe hai - TOP 10 UNSOLVED MYSTERIES”. A comment read, "don't worry bro, it's a gesture of Thano's arrival." Another person wrote, "Hats off to those kids who eats that thing....."

Even the Youtuber Amar Sirohi said he is stunned with the creation of it. After tasting the Oreo Pakodas he said that “they are edible, not bad not good, but why!?”
