Asha Bhosle is 88, but there seems to be no end to her surprising us every now and then. But you’ll be surprised to know that the legendary singer we all know of is also a great cook. Owner of Asha’s - a chain of restaurants across countries, Bhosle keeps sharing glimpses and updates from the restaurants, and in a recent such clip from kitchen of her newly launched outlet of the chain, we saw how Asha is also an intrinsic part of the cooking process too. Asha’s is an Indian cuisine restaurant chain located in various parts of the world, and recently launched a new outlet in Dubai. In the latest video, shared by the singer, we can see her entering the kitchen and adding her personal touch to a delicacy being prepared for the guests.
She is seen donning the chef’s coat, supervising what looks like a rice dish in the kitchen. She is seen smelling the dish after supervising it. Many fans and followers reacted to Asha’s video.
Comedian Jamie Lever reacted to the video with several clapping emojis while a fan of Bhosle commented, “Gana (singing) and khana (food) deadly combination, both are near to heart.” Another fan of the singer wrote, “Wah Asha ji.” A comment also read, “Now you can be remembered as legend musical chef.” Several fans reacted with heart emojis.
In another video, Asha gave a better look of the new Dubai restaurant, originally shared by her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle. Zanai can be seen entering the restaurant, with a comfortable waiting area right before the dining area. As you move forward, you can spot Asha’s black and white pictures adorning the walls. And then Asha is seen herself standing inside the restaurant, post which she is also seen preparing a dish with several spices spread in front of her. Take a look at the video:
Further research on the restaurant’s website tells us that Asha personally 'oversees the work of the restaurants’ to ensure the essence of her culinary philosophy is imprinted in the kitchen, and in the experience of every diner.
