You know what feels better than eating a decadent chocolate cake? Eating it in your favourite coffee mug, comfortably snuggled in a blanket with the AC on! Mug cakes are the easiest and the most convenient form of dessert, ever. Eating a mug cake ensures that all the crumbs of your delicious bake fall right in to the cup. Mug cakes aren’t only meant for your sole consumption, they are pretty awesome to have at a party too. This versatile dessert has a crowd pull as the portion is just right per person, for a one time binge, making second helpings unnecessary. You could serve mug cakes at your next party and break the old trend of plated desserts.

Making a mug cake is extremely easy and all you require to have is a massive microwave friendly coffee mug, and a few basic baking ingredients. You can alter the quantities of ingredients according to the size of your mug. I find it fun to add a lot of seasonal fruits and berries like mangoes and bananas to my mug cakes. One can also choose to add chocolate syrup or ice-cream scoops on top of their mug cake. Here are some simple mug cake recipes that you could try out, even if you’re an amateur baker.
