1. Beams Café

The cosy little Beams Café is known for its freshly cooked delicious food and comfortable ambience. “We serve passion immersed in good books and music!,” they say. A great place to spend time with friends and family, the food joint offers an assortment of dishes including sushi, noodles, Mimi Singju, banana/chocolate cakes and some flavoursome teas. The Beams Fiery Momos is a favourite on the menu.

2. Bambusa

Run by a young entrepreneur, named Temsuienla, Bambusa is a popular food outlet in the picturesque hill station. She is said to be devoted to offering wholesome meals to her guests in a clean atmosphere. Food hers is cooked using fresh ingredients and with a local twist. Thukpa, momos, chowmein, chopsuey, fried rice, fries and milkshakes are among the top picks on the restaurant’s menu.

3. The Restaurant 

If you are in the mood to taste ethnic Naga cuisine, along with some South Indian and Chinese options, The Restaurant is your place to be. Often crowded, the eatery is known for its good food and quality service. Apart from thalis and other dishes, you can also try their cupcakes and other confectionery items.

4. Hungry Ghost

A quaint restaurant with blue accent walls, potted plants and interesting wall hangings, Hungry Ghost is the ideal place to enjoy some soupy noodles and a hot cup of tea on a rainy day. They have an elaborate menu that includes grilled meat, quirky potato dishes and a variety of mocktails with the ‘Mighty Doyang Blue’ being a top pick. Their special-day buffets are worth trying, while you can also taste their King’s Platter that comprises Pepper Pork, Chicken 65, Fries, Salad and their Classic Fried Rice.

5. Top Floor Café

Another popular fast-food joint in Mokokchung, Top Floor Café is famous for its variety of fried rice and chicken lollipops. Their soups and noodles are also worth sampling. Casual and warm décor makes the place a favourite among the young folk in town.
