Mira Kapoor’s Sunday Lunch Was All About Home-Cooked Food

Soulful home food is what Sunday lunches should be about and Mira Kapoor surely is on-board with the idea! The mum-of-two, who is known to advocate for fresh, seasonal foods and practicing a sustainable vegetarian diet, posted a picture of her delicious khaana on social media. Featured on the plate was steamed basmati rice, dum aloo, bhindi ki sabzi, lauki ki sabzi and the winter special gobhi shalgam achaar.

The Indian spread, that looked ready to be devoured, had Mira brand the pickle as a #kapoorfav, also sharing that it was her father who put together the family recipe for this winter pickle made with cauliflower and turnip. Some popular variations of the pickle are also known to include red carrot sticks or radish, making this a classic North Indian condiment that celebrates the bounties of the season. A self-proclaimed lover of the Gujarati delicacy called undhiyu, Mira’s list of winter-special favourites seems to be an ever-expanding one!
