Recently, Masaba Gupta took to her Instagram to share a glimpse of her irresistible breakfast comprising a perfectly cooked Spanish frittata, an egg-based one-pot dish loaded with cheese, vegetables and meat. It looks like someone has baked the omelette. The fashion designer captioned it, “A perfect frittata breakfast.”

If you want to start your mornings with a healthy meal, you can follow Masaba too. Frittata has many variations among which you can choose the ones you like the best. Here are a few ways you can customise this French delicacy to suit your taste buds.

Garden Vegetable Frittata

Start by dicing vegetables like sweet potato, red onion, zucchini, bell pepper, tomato, etc. Saute them in a skillet and pour in beaten eggs seasoned with salt and black pepper. Cook the dish for a few minutes. Fold in grated cheese on the top, and slide the skillet into the oven, or splash some water, cover the lid, and turn the flame to the lowest settings. You will have a cheesy frittata with a crispy base of vegetables.

All-Green Frittata

Instead of a colourful frittata, kick-start your mornings with a green one. Saute a handful of broccoli, chopped green beans, spinach, spring onion, and capsicum. Add salt to taste and black pepper powder. Fold in your egg batter, and after a couple of minutes, add feta cheese on top. Cover the lid and let the frittata cook for 5 minutes at least. Loaded with iron, zinc, and other nutrients, this frittata recipe will make you fall in love with it.

Mushroom Frittata

What can you cook if you just have mushrooms and onions in your kitchen? Break a few eggs to make a mushroom frittata. In a heated pan, add butter, and saute some onion slices. As they become translucent, add diced mushrooms and cook until they are a little roasted. Pour beaten eggs and let everything come together. After crumbled feta or shredded cheese on the top bake your frittata.

Chicken Frittata

Instead of vegetables, you can also make frittata using chicken and other meat available at your home. Cook some shredded chicken with onion, ginger, and garlic. Add eggs and allow everything to cook. Add shredded cheese on the top and let it all come together in a couple of minutes after closing the lid. Enjoy this delicious combo.
