Barbecue sauce, often known as BBQ sauce, is a condiment or topping that is applied to meat that has been grilled using the barbecue method, such as pork or beef ribs and chicken. In the Southern United States, it is a common condiment that is also used on a variety of other meals. There are many different ingredients, but most include a base of vinegar, tomato paste, liquid smoke, onion powder, spices like mustard and black pepper, and sweeteners like sugar or molasses. Simply said, it is a sauce that is used to bring out the taste of any meat that is being grilled or cooked, primarily beef, hog, chicken, and ribs. BBQ sauces often come in a variety of flavours, including sweet, spicy, mustard, vinegar, and a fruity blend. Some claim that the first American colonies were founded in the 17th century, which is when barbecue sauce originally appeared. Over the following 200 years, references to the sauce begin to appear in both English and French literature. German settlers in the 18th century are credited with creating South Carolina mustard sauce, a sort of barbecue sauce. Initially, vinegar, salt, and pepper were used to make homemade barbecue sauces. In the 1920s, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar were introduced; however, following World War II, the use of sugar and the number of ingredients skyrocketed. Whatever maybe the source of it, we all love smokey flavours. Here's how you can make this sauce at home-
