In the pandemic, a lot of us donned our chef hats and took to the kitchen to whip up some delicious things. From sweets to savouries, we made a host of items to treat our taste buds. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, it happens that sometimes things blow out of proportion and well, we don’t mean it in a bad way. For instance, at times, the noodles that you’ve boiled or the chapattis that you’ve made may turn out to be extra. That’s leftover food. Well, I’ll tell you something interesting.  At my house, Mondays are usually leftover days so what we usually have for lunch and dinner is a leftover from the past week.

The idea behind this is to start the new week afresh and make new things for the days ahead. It could be anything from a cooked vegetable to a half-finished pasta, spaghetti or cake batter. This brings me to an essential component of creamy cakes, whipped cream. It is a possibility that while you’ve tried your best to keep the right measures, there is some whipped cream that is leftover. Now, you wouldn’t want to throw it away, would you?

We’ll tell you not to because there are some amazing ways in which this whipped cream can enhance your meals throughout the day without much effort. If you’re up for it, here are some exciting ways that can put leftover whipped cream to good use.

1.  Breakfast With Whipped Cream

Are you feeling waffles or pancakes this morning? If there is some leftover whipped cream in the fridge then you should surely go ahead with it. Churn the whipped cream a little and scoop it up on your freshly baked pancakes and waffles. Top it with some fruits and cherries on the side and you are good to go.

2.  Shake Up The Milk

Be it mornings or evenings, a thick and frosty milkshake can be a satiating delight for the day. Make your regular milkshake, just the way you like, from chocolate to banana to peach. In the end, top it with some whipped cream and drizzle some choco chips and gems for that pop of colour.

3.  Hot Chocolate Season Is Here

Come winters, hot chocolate mugs are brought to the front row of the shelves. A thick and chocolaty drink, hot chocolate is all things cozy and warm. To enhance the overall taste of the drink, add a layer of frozen whipped cream that you’ve stored in moulds and enjoy.

4.  Mousse All The Way

A very simple and easy trick to make a delicious mousse as well as use up the leftover whipped cream is here. Add a dash of melted chocolate to the leftover whipped cream and let it set in the refrigerator. You’re going to love this version.

5.  Creamy Coffee Alert

Yes, you read that right. You can simply dunk the whipped cream on your cup of coffee for a refreshing change of taste. This can be a great sweetener so you may want to lessen the spoons of sugar you add usually.
