By using this recipe, we elevate traditional fried fritters to a new level. Your air fryer can be used for more than just cooking; it also works beautifully to create fritters that are crispy on the exterior and moist on the inside without using any needless grease. If you want a range of flavours, apples, berries, and bananas are great choices. You'll raise your snack game and position yourself for success with delectable, fresh fruit fritters made with in-season fruits. They can be made in 30 minutes, and instead of traditional fritters, they are air-fried for health benefits.

Method:

Choose your preferred fruits, combine with one tablespoon of lemon juice, and keep. Heat the air fryer for 3–4 minutes at 400°F. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking soda, cinnamon powder, and salt in a sizable bowl. In the centre, create a well. Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla essence, and stir until there are no longer any apparent flour lumps. Avoid overmixing. The dough need to be thick in texture. If you're using more than one fruit, divide the dough into smaller portions and fold the fruit pieces in. Spray nonstick baking spray and a piece of parchment paper into the air fryer basket that has been heated. Using a cookie scoop, drop tiny dollops of dough into the basket being careful not to stuff it too full. Fruit fritters should be baked for 10 minutes or until golden brown, rotating them halfway through, with the air fryer set to 400°F. After removing the fruit fritters, continue with the remaining dough. Serve right away with your preferred garnishes or a light dusting of sugar.

For Sugar Glaze: Whisk the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth in a small bowl. More powdered sugar will make the mixture thicker, and more heavy cream will make it lighter.

Quick Tips

Avoid over-mixing the dough. The fruit fritters will get dense as a result.

Keep in mind that not all air fryers are considered equal, thus the baking time may vary depending on your particular model.

The size of the fruit fritters will also affect the amount of time needed to cook them.

Warm fruit fritters are best enjoyed the same day they are made. Any leftovers will keep nicely for up to two days at room temperature in an airtight container.
