Khichdi Matters: Burglar In Assam Stops Heist To Cook Khichdi, Gets Arrested

Honestly, I can’t focus on the job at hand if I’m hungry and have met many people who feel the same. Even the best of us succumb to these untimely hunger pangs. Turns out even burglars are no different, no matter what’s at stake. This is exactly what the situation was that a burglar faced in a recent incident in Assam that went viral. A burglar called off a heist midway to cook some Khichdi for himself, and got caught in the act which got him arrested by the police. Confirming the incident, Assam Police took to Twitter to share a hilarious take on the incident. Take a look:
"The curious case of a cereal burglar! Despite its many health benefits, turns out, cooking Khichdi during a burglary attempt can be injurious to your well-being," read the funny tweet by the official handle of Assam Police. "The burglar has been arrested and Guwahati Police is serving him some hot meals," they further confirmed.
According to a report in The Hindu, the thief broke into a house in Guwahati's while the owners were away. Neighbours, however, were alerted of his presence when the burglar started to make Khichdi, and they heard noises from the kitchen. Knowing that the homeowners were away, neighbours informed the local police and got him arrested.
Meanwhile, Assam Police's witty take on the attempted robbery has left the Twitter in splits, and garnered many reactions online. While some of them could relate to the burglar's need to cook and eat Khichdi at such an odd time, others said that Khichdi was too delicious a dish to resist.
