Keep your energy levels up with these 5 foods when you’re fasting during Navratri

The festival of Navratri has begun and so many of us are observing a fast during this auspicious time. In such a case, it is natural for the body to feel lethargic due to change in eating patterns and limited food choices.

To replenish your energy levels, you could choose from a variety of food options. These foods should be rich in nutrients such as vitamins, fiber, and proteins, as they will revitalise you, and boost overall wellbeing and health.

1. Sabudana khichdi

Sabudana is gluten-free, prevents digestion issues and helps manage blood pressure levels as well. Sabudana contains dietary fibre, that makes you feel full for longer durations of time, leading to a boost in energy levels, and also helping with weight management.

2. Nuts and dried fruits

Nuts and dried fruits are a healthy option with a good balance of all three macronutrients (carbohydrates, fats and proteins).
