Kareena Relishes This Desi Comfort Meal For Her Summer Lunch

Which is your favourite season? Many of us will surely not say ‘summer’. It's not just about the scorching heat but also about so many other factors. Right from dealing with dehydration to fatigue, summers are not the best season. The worst part is, we just don’t feel like eating too much, isn’t it? Especially the heavy meals. All we want is to have a simple, delicious, light and healthy meal. And you know what? We have quite a lot of options! 

While on one side, Indian cuisine is known for heavy usage of ghee, milk, butter and spices, there are some dishes that are soothing, light and simple. These dishes are easy to digest and give us the strength to battle the soaring temperature outside. Most of us would enjoy such a comforting and soothing meal. Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan took to Instagram and shared the picture of one such summer staple meal she had for lunch. Can you guess what that meal could be?

Well, it is nothing fancy but a simple and soothing curd rice. Cooked rice mixed with whisked curd and tadka of mustard seeds, makes this meal even more appetizing. Kareena Kapoor Khan, in her Instagram story, shared a picture of a plate with curd rice in it. Along with the curd rice, she was seen enjoying some rice papad and pickle. Can there be anything more comforting than this? The actress wrote ‘Summer lunches’ in the story and tagged Rujuta Diwekar, a known nutritionist, in her story.

Be it a soothing South Indian meal or a wholesome breakfast with son Jeh, she never mises updating us with her food indulgences and makes us drool, always! Kareena is one of the most talented actresses in the B-town and has excelled in every other role offered to her. The actress will now be seen in some new projects. As per sources, she is likely to work with Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in a Sujoy Ghosh film and will also be seen working along with Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh in another project.
