This is the day when you can celebrate this classic drink as per your wish. You can go out and try it at your favourite bar or simply be at ease in your home and try out various takes on this cocktail. Although gin and tonic are one of the most well-known combinations and people tend to not play around with it often, some different takes on this classic are absolutely magical. Butterfly Decoded

Recipe by Avril Gonsalves, Head Mixologist, Butterfly High BKC and Thane

  • 60 ml Gin
  • Fresh strawberry (5-6)
  • Kaffir lime syrup
  • Fresh kaffir leaves
  • 5 ml simple syrup

Method 

Muddle/shaken

Served in gin goblet glass

Garnish

Gin Elderflower

Recipe by Mayur Mallik, Senior Mixologist, Maai Goa

  • 60 ml Gin
  • 15ml Elderflower syrup
  • 3-4 Fresh Basil leaves
  • 1 slice Fresh Grapefruits
  • 1 slice Fresh orange
  • Fresh pomegranate
  • Fresh cucumber
  • Fresh rose leaves
  • Top up with tonic
  • Smoked star anise

Method: Stirred

Glassware: Gin Goblet

Ingredients

  • 60 ml gin
  • 30 ml elderflower syrup
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • Top with Soda or Tonic Water (90 /120 ml)

Method:

  • Shake all ingredients together and serve in a glass. 
  • Garnish with burnt rosemary along with some edible flowers.
  • White Blossom is ready!

Elderflower Spritzer

  • 60 ml Bluepea Infused Bombay Sapphire gin
  • 20 ml lime Juice
  • 15 ml Elderflower Syrup
  • Tonic Water to top up.

Method:

  • Shake all ingredients, except tonic water, in a cocktail shaker.
  • Strain into a highball glass with ice.
  • Top up with tonic water.
  • Garnish with a flower.

Silly Sour

Recipe by Head Mixologist Latesh Kotian, Silly Khar

  • 60ml Bombay sapphire
  • 15ml Rose water
  • 10ml Fresh lime juice
  • 3-4slice muddled English cucumber
  • Malaki Tonic water

Method: Shaken

Garnish: Cucumber peel & rose petal

Grape G&T

Recipe by Ishaan Bahl, Founder of 145 Cafe & Bar

  • 60 ml gin
  • 3 Californian Grapes
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 15 ml Elderflower syrup
  • 30ml Apple juice
  • Splash of Tonic Water
  • Mint leaves

Method:

  • In a shaker, first muddle the grapes, then break the mint and drop it in
  • Add all the other ingredients and give it a good shake
  • Single strain in a tall glass, add a splash of tonic
  • Garnish with grapes & mint.

Tom Yum Tun

Ingredients

  • 60ml stranger & sons gin
  • 4 lemongrass chunks
  • 2 Galangal
  • 1 Kaffir leaves
  • 30ml Tonic Water
  • 3 Dash Tabasco
  • 15ml Lime Juice

Shaken & Double strain
