Immunity Boosting Golden Chaatan For Kids

In ancient Ayurveda, the wide variety of medicinal herbs and spices, combined with the goodness of jaggery and ghee for extra fortification, was sworn by when it comes to having good immunity. The word chaatan, which translates from Marathi as to lick something, is a thick, sweet medicinal paste made with commonly found spices in the kitchen. Once made, it can last up to three weeks in the fridge. Consuming a spoonful everyday for kids or adults is great for gut health, boosting immunity and fighting against lifestyle-related ailments and common flu. Adding a spoonful to a cup of hot water, makes for an instant kadha to consume when you have a sore throat or need a warming concoction to unwind. For kids, mix a spoonful in hot milk and serve it to them before bed, to help develop healthy sleep patterns and heal the body. Pssssttt…..if you’re feeling a little adventurous, we highly recommend adding some to your glass of hot toddy.
