Do you know why lemon should be a part of your diet regime? It's because the vitamin C in lemon is perfect for health, aids in weight loss and strengthens immunity. And this is the reason why most of us buy them in large quantities. However, lemons tend to spoil and dry out in a few days, turning skin black. Are you also facing the same problem? Then do not worry, because today we have brought some easy ways, with which you can easily store lemons, and use them whenever you need them. Let us look at five unique ways to keep lemons for a long time.

Method 1

You can easily store a lemon even with a rotten peel. For this:

  • Cut the lemons and squeeze their juices into a bowl.
  • Now strain the liquid in a glass to remove the seeds.
  • Now take a small plastic bottle, fill the juice, and keep it in the fridge.

In this way, you can store lemon juice for up to three months. But keep in mind that after using lemon juice, keep the bottle in the fridge immediately.

Method 2

Another way of storing lemon:

  1. You have to take a little mustard oil in your hands. You can also use refined oil or ghee instead of mustard oil if you want. Now apply it well to the lemon.
  2. Take a box, place all the lemons in it, and keep this container in the fridge.

Doing this will not spoil lemons at all, and you will be able to use them for many months.

Method 3

This is an effortless way to store lemons. For this:

  • Cut small pieces of newspaper. Then put lemon in it and wrap it well. You can also use tissue paper if you want.
  • Next, please keep all the lemons in an airtight container, preserve them in the fridge and use them whenever needed.

This keeps the lemons safe, not spoiling for several months. In this way, the peel of the lemon is also protected and does not turn black.

Method 4

Just like you had extracted lemon juice in method 1, you have to do in this method. But in this, after extracting lemon juice:

  • Instead of keeping it in a bottle, you have to keep it in an ice tray and then put it in the fridge to set.
  • Then, store it in a tray or a zip-locked bag when it freezes.

Now, you can use it when needed. In this way, you can use lemon for 2-3 months.

Method 5

Take a plastic or glass container and put all the lemons in it.

  • Now pour two glasses of water on top of it so that all the lemons get submerged in water.
  • Now add half a cup of vinegar to it. Keep this container in the fridge.

Your lemons will not spoil, and you can easily store them for three months.
