  1. Ginger piece - 1 bowl (peeled)
  2. Garlic buds - 1 bowl (peeled)
  3. Cooking oil - 3 tsp
  4. Salt - 1 tsp


  1. You can increase or reduce the quantity of ginger and garlic according to your taste. Some people like ginger, while others like garlic. In such a situation, mix two spoons of oil with these two ingredients and grind them.
  2. Once smooth, remove the jar’s lid and mix the remaining oil and salt. After buffing well, the fine paste will be ready, which can be stored in the refrigerator by filling it in a jar or container. Do not use water in the ginger-garlic paste at all.
  3. Remember that the jar you are using to store the ginger and garlic paste must be completely arid. Use a dry spoon to extract the ginger garlic paste.
  4. When you keep ginger and garlic paste in the refrigerator, it can be easily stored for at least two months. Then, when it is finished, you can make it and keep it again the same way.

How to store the ginger-garlic paste for four to six months?

Use an ice tray to store ginger and garlic paste for four to six months.

  1. First, fill the ice tray with the help of a spoon, wrap it with a plastic wrapper, and keep it in the fridge for some hours.
  2. After 12 hours, when it turns into an ice cube, take it out, pack it in a big plastic bag, and zip it.
  3. Now keep it in the fridge, and you can use it one by one whenever needed.

How to store the ginger-garlic paste for more than six months?

Ginger and garlic paste can be stored for more than six months using vinegar.

  1. When you keep ginger and garlic paste in an air-tight container, add three to four spoons of vinegar to it.
  2. However, the colour of the paste will change slightly with vinegar but will remain fresh for a long time.
  3. Therefore, do not use vinegar initially; put it at the very end.
