This recipe for cabbage steak is as simple as it can get. And not to forget, it goes well with all your meals and works fantastic with drinks too! It is also a weight watcher’s delight due to its high fiber content and a negligible amount of calories.

Here’s what your need for the recipe of cabbage steak:

  1. 1 piece fresh cabbage
  2. 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  3. 2 tbsp honey
  4. Tahini sauce
  5. Peanut butter
  6. Roasted peanuts
  7. Salt and pepper
  8. Sesame seeds
  9. Mixed herbs seasoning
  10. Olive oil

Preparation:

  1. Start by chopping the whole cabbage head into ½ inch slices.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.
  3. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. For balsamic glaze, heat a sauce pan and add 1 cup balsamic vinegar to it.
  5. Pour 2 tbsp honey into it. Simmer on low heat while stirring constantly.
  6. Turn off the gas when it reaches a desired thick consistency.
  7. Spread this balsamic glaze over the round cabbage slices.
  8. Now, coat them with some peanut butter and roasted peanut chunks.
  9. Drizzle some tahini sauce on top.
  10. Sprinkle salt, pepper and herb seasoning on the slices.
  11. Pour 2 tbsp of olive oil on top.
  12. Slide into the oven and roast it for 20-30 mins.
  13. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and serve hot!
