3 superfoods to prevent hair loss this monsoon season

Do you get scared of wishing for the monsoon season just because of the hair problems you have to face? Well, we can relate. As lovely as the monsoon season is for our eyes, it can be havoc for our hair. Dryness, frizz and increased hair fall are just some of these problems.

Why does hair fall increase in monsoon season?

Studies have shown that hair fall increases by 30 percent during the monsoon season and one of the two major reasons for that are humidity and nutrition deficiency. Humidity rips off our scalps of their natural oils which results in a dry scalp and weak roots. On the nutritional side of things, we need to have a diet rich in iron, zinc and protein. Lack of biotin (type of vitamin B) and zinc is one of the major reasons for hair loss. We can’t do much about the former but we can definitely fulfill the nutritional requirements for our hair.
