Healthy Mornings with MasterChef Pankaj, 3 Recipes To Try

We have the answer for you! MasterChef Pankaj Bhadouria has perfectly shared three breakfast recipes that are not only delicious but also light, nutritious and quick to prepare. These recipes are a solution to your morning meal dilemmas. First up, there's the Bread Pudla, a unique twist on the traditional breakfast, where slices of bread are transformed into a delectable treat. Then, you can savour the Goli Idli, a South Indian classic, which brings the flavours of the region right to your plate. The third one, Aloo Chila, a crunchy pancake made from potatoes, promises a hearty and satisfying breakfast.  These three breakfast recipes offer a delightful variety, ensuring your mornings are not just hassle-free but also an adventure for your taste buds. 

Bread Pudla 

Ingredients: 

1 cup besan 

8 slices White bread 

¼ tsp Turmeric powder  

½ tsp Red chilli powder  

Salt to taste 

2 Green chillies , finely chopped  

2 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves , chopped  

2 Tomatoes , finely chopped  

½ cup grated Carrot  

1 cup chopped Onions  

Chaat masala as required 

Oil as required 

1 cup grated Processed cheese  

Method: Make a thick batter with the besan, turmeric powder, red chili powder with sufficient water. Add a little oil to the pan. Dip the bread in the batter and toast on one side. Top the other side with chopped onions, carrots, green chilies, tomatoes, cheese, chaat masala, flip and cook on the other side too. Grate cheese over the veggies side, cover with the second slice and cook till the cheese melts. Serve. 

Goli Idli 

Ingredients:  

1½ cup rice flour 

1 ½ cup water 

½ tsp salt 

1tsp ghee  

For tempering: 

2 tsp oil 

1 tsp mustard seeds 

1 tsp chana dal 

1 tsp urad dal 

1 dried red chilli 

1 pinch hing 

A few curry leaves 

1 green chilli, finely chopped 

1 ginger, finely chopped 

2 tbsp coriander, finely chopped 

Method: Boil the water with a little oil, salt. Add the rice flour, mix thoroughly and cover and rest for 5 minutes. Knead the dough till smooth. Break into marble sized balls. Steam the balls for 10 minutes.Heat oil in a pan, add the tempering ingredients and sauté for 1 minute. Add the steamed balls and toss for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot. 

Aloo Chila 

Ingredients: 

2 potatoes 

½ cup besan 

¼ cup rawa 

¼ cup maida 

2 Green chilies, chopped 

1 Grated ginger 

2 tbsp Coriander leaves 

½ tbsp Chili flakes 

¼ cup Chopped onions 

Method: Peel and grate the potatoes. Soak in water for 5 minutes. Drain the water, add all other ingredients and mix well. Add water as required to make a thick batter. Pour a ladleful of the batter over a medium hot pan to which 1 tbsp oil has been added.  Cook on one side till crisp, flip and cook to crisp the other side too, serve. Enjoy your mornings!
