Get Rid Of Festive Hangover With These 5 Foods And Drinks

We are all geared up with food and booze in this festive season. Although this season is fun, the only bad thing about it is the morning after. Nausea and the spinning headache spoil all the fun we had the evening before. So the day later, the fun evening goes to waste while we keep searching for ways to get rid of the bad hangover. As the festive season is barely 20 days ahead, we want you to indulge in all the delicious foods and beverages you want along with having a worry-less day after. To help you do the same, we have some foods and drinks that will help you treat your hangover in no time.

Asparagus

Eat some asparagus before you start drinking to prevent or ease the hangover effects. The vegetable releases enzymes that help break down the alcohol after heavy drinking.

Honey

Honey is one of the best things to flush out the leftover alcohol in your stomach. In addition, the high levels of fructose and antioxidants will help you feel refreshed the following day.

Tomato juice

The fructose levels in tomatoes help flush the alcohol in your body. Blend the tomatoes, make a juice with your favourite additives, and have it the morning after to restore the vitamins and minerals in your body.

Bananas

The high dose of alcohol drains all the energy from your body and makes you feel weak. To get over this weakness, replenish the lost energy levels and feel refreshed, have two bananas as they will also improve muscle function and restore potassium levels.

Ginger

The most common and worst symptoms of the morning after hangover are upset stomach and nausea. To help you ease these symptoms, you can brew honey with warm water and ginger. You can also make ginger juice, mix it with a plain glass of water and have it the first thing in the morning.
