Fusion food provides many flavours together and is also full of nutrition, but do you know it is also included in the list of foodies these days? A fusion dish is a combination of ingredients from different culinary traditions. In fusion meals, the foods based on one culture are prepared using another culture's inherent ingredients and flavours. However, the fusion dishes cannot be classified according to one particular cuisine. So, if many things are mixed, what will it taste like? I hope all the foodies will answer this wonderfully.

Fusion Is Confusion

Most people think that "fusion is a confusion", and it's a pretty popular joke among chefs. However, in my opinion, fusion is better than an authentic dish. Yes, the idea of keeping the dish genuine should remain as it is, but on the other hand, you might want to know how to incorporate two cultures and make it a better and completely different experience.

The Craze For Fusion Food

The craze of fusion food has increased tremendously because of the international influence. As we learn about the variety of dishes existing worldwide, we want to find a way to experience the same but with a taste that will suit us. For example, if we make white sauce pasta at home, its flavour is as creamy as it should be. But we make it according to Indian taste. As we go back to our roots, we need to remember what we used to do in our culture to experience it. That's precisely what makes fusion food so exciting to our cuisine and helps connect different cultures.

Fusion Chaat

Mexican Chaat is a fusion chaat recipe similar to the famous Indian Bhel Puri Chaat. A tasty snack that is not too spicy and offers some health benefits. Let's know about its recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Green coriander - 1/2 cup
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Boiled potatoes - 2
  • Chopped onion - 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Papdi - 8-10
  • Salsa - 1 cup
  • Sev - 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Take boiled potatoes and chopped onions in a bowl.
  2. Add salt, chilli powder, chaat masala and mix it well until it becomes a layer.
  3. Keep papdi on a plate (you can also make papdi at home) add the prepared mixture to the chaat. Now top it with salsa.
