From Java Shake To Latte: 3 Coffee Recipes To Try This Friendship Day

Friendships Day celebration? Enlighten your mood with some simple but exciting coffee recipes that you make in your kitchen. Every occasion is incomplete without a coffee dessert and good coffee. So here are a few easy Friendship Day coffee recipes by Abdul Sahid Khan (Head Trainer, Lavazza) to help you out.

Iced Hot Chocolate Filter Kapi: Made with south Indian filter Kapi and your all-time favourite hot chocolate (preferably swiss chocolate mix), this iced coffee drink is sure to make your friend super happy. 

Ingredients

  • 6-8 Ice Cubes 
  • 60ml Coffee brewed in South Indian Filter 
  • 1gm Sweetener (sugarfree) 
  • 540-60ml heavy whipping cream 
  • 20gm Hot Chocolate Mix 

Directions 

  1. Fill a glass with ice and pour filter coffee decoction over it. Stir in sweetener (if you want low-cal or use simple syrup) and set aside. 
  2. Combine cream and hot chocolate mix in a bowl and mix with a hand blender or whisker until well combined. Over the iced coffee, pour the stirred hot chocolate mixture.

Slim Vegan Java Shake: Delicious, high in protein coffee shakes with some of my favourite ingredients such as coffee, banana, and peanut butter. It is low in calories and vegan! 

Ingredients

  • 60-80ml French press coffee Strong/ Filter Coffee Decoction 
  • 60-80ml Soy Milk 
  • ½ Banana 
  • 1tsp Peanut Butter 
  • 10ml Vanilla Syrup 
  • 2gm Sweetener (sugarfree) 
  • 6-8 Ice Cubes 

Directions 

  1. Combine coffee,  soy milk, peanut butter, banana, vanilla, coffee, ice cubes and low-cal sugar in a blender; mix until creamy. 
  2. If you don't like, say, milk, you can try with almond milk.

Demerara Latte: This is one of my favourite post-meal treats with friends at home. This drink is a delicacy in itself. 

Ingredients

  • 60-80ml French press coffee Strong/ Filter Coffee Decoction 
  • 1tbs Demerara Sugar 
  • 60-80 Half-and-Half 
  • 1tbs Caramel Sauce 

Directions

Stir demerara sugar into half-and-half until dissolved. Whip with an electric milk frother or small whisk. Spill drink in a cup and mix in caramel sauce until melted. Pour frothed half-and-half into coffee, and serve.
