Enjoy Comfort Food At This Manga-Inspired Delhi Eatery

With the Delhi weather slowly getting a little nippy in the evenings, there’s little else that can comfort you than a bowl of hot ramen and some juicy dimsums. The Capital is brimming with Asian places, but there’s something about your favourite haunts that keep pulling you back, almost like that warm, worn-out blanket that never leaves your trunk. YouMee has found such a loyal set of fans in the capital, that every new addition to the menu is welcomed with open arms. We sampled some old and new favourites from Youmee’s GK2 outlet and here’s what we liked the best.

We had to start with our all-time favourite, New York Philadelphia Cheese Dimsums. Their bestseller, the dimsums are packed with cream cheese and come swimming in red chilli oil. A treat of textures and flavour, these dumplings are worth all the hype. Then we proceeded to the Spicy Chicken Katsu Sushi, made with crispy chicken, spicy mayo and togarashi pepper, packing the right amount of crunch and spice to hold our attention.

Speaking of textures, YouMee hits it out of the park again with their Konjee Crispy Lamb. These sweet and spicy crispy fried lamb are tossed in the wok with julienned red and yellow bell peppers, onions and sesame seeds. Vegetarians have an equally delicious alternative in konjee mushrooms. Konjee or rice water is a staple Japanese ingredient that lends a lovely base to Japanese dishes. Another very interesting take on prawns was the Bacon Wrapped Prawns. It is firm, chewy and ideal for those looking for chunky appetisers.

For Ramen, we went for a teriyaki chicken ramen bowl. Teriyaki glazed chicken, nori sheets, mixed greens, noodles, and more served in miso-flavoured broth, make this ramen bowl all things satiating, wholesome.

For desserts, there are plenty of options to choose from, like the Venetian tiramisu, a jar full of silken mascarpone cheese flavoured with coffee, or a series of new, wobbly puddings that they have launched.

And for you, we got the chef-special recipe of Spicy Sichuan Style chicken that we
