Drumsticks Ki Sabzi: Time To Make A Quick Sabzi With This Edible Flower

Drumstick or moringa flower, for instance, is one of the best edible flowers used in the making of many dishes. From making chutney, snacks to a cup of tea, there are myriad ways you can put this flower to use. Although drumsticks are widely grown and found in every state, they are popular in the South. Today, we have a homemade sabji recipe using these tiny, white colour flowers. Drumsticks sabzi is a simple, quick and a delicious side dish that is made simply with just a handful of kitchen masalas and spices. Along with this, we have added some freshly grated coconut to make it more delectable and creamier. Ingredients-

  • 150g drumstick flower 
  • Half cup grated coconut 
  • curry leaves 
  • Salt as per taste 
  • 4-5 green chillies 
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder 
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder 
  • Half tablespoon cumin seeds 
  • 1 tablespoon oil  
  • Half tablespoon mustard seeds

Method of preparation- 

  • Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, mustard and cumin seeds. Then add freshly grated coconut along with drumsticks into it.  
  • Sauce everything for a while. After some time, add salt as per taste and along with this pour all the masalas and spices into it. 
  • Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for a while longer.  
  • After cooking, transfer into a serve bowl and garnish some coriander leaves on top.
