Rava! On hearing this word, the one thing that comes to my mind is rava idli. But not only idlis but also several other dishes made using rava. However, if you too are bored of making the same old rava dishes, it is time to try something new. This article will tell you the recipes of some yummy snacks made from rava, which can be easily prepared at home. You don't even need to put in much effort to make them, so why wait? Salted Rava Muffins

Ingredients:

  1. Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  2. Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  3. Onion - 1 finely chopped
  4. Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt - as per taste
  6. Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  7. Ghee - 2 teaspoon
  8. Oregano - 1 tsp
  9. Flour - 1/2 cup
  10. Curd - 1/2 cup
  11. Rava - 2 cup

Method:

  1. First, put rava and flour in the pan and fry them well.
  2. Now, prepare the batter by adding water with ingredients (like curd, sugar, salt and baking powder) to the roasted flour-rava and mix it well.
  3. Fry the onion and mix it in the muffin batter. In the meantime, you can preheat the oven.
  4. Now pour the batter into the muffin's mould, bake for about 15 minutes and serve.

Rava Idli Chaat

Ingredients:

  1. Onion - 1 finely chopped
  2. Salt - according to taste
  3. Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  4. Ginger paste - 1/2 inch
  5. Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Curry leaves - 7
  7. Soda - 1 pinch
  8. Rava - 1 cup
  9. Curd - 1 cup
  10. Oil - 2 tsp

Method:

  1. First of all, put rava, soda, curd and water in a vessel and mix it well.
  2. Now, put this mixture in the idli maker and steam it for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add onions, mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies, red chillies and ginger and cook them well for tempering.
  4. After cooking, add the tempering to the prepared idli and serve.

Rava Tikki

Ingredients:

  1. Ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 teaspoon
  2. Green chilli - 2 finely chopped
  3. Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Salt - according to taste
  6. Ajwain - 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Oil - 2 cups
  8. Rava-2 cup

Method:

  1. First of all, heat a pan, roast the rava well and keep it in a vessel.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, carom seeds and fry it.
  3. After some time, add salt, cumin powder, a cup of water and rava, and cook.
  4. After cooking, take this mixture out and shape it like tikki.
  5. Now, heat oil in another pan and fry the tikkis till they become golden.
