Hence this new year let us not follow general fitness fads, diet plans and cheat sheets but eat based on our star signs for better and visible results. Star signs have been used for many years by professionals to analyze one’s physical, mental and spiritual orientation. Since fitness is not just dependent on how much and what you eat but on how a particular foods gets processed in your body, it is time that we dig deep into our individual needs.

Having said that decoding astrology can be quite tricky and sometimes a little confusing. Zodiac Special Recipe - Ginger Bread Cookies (Relaxing) 

Serves: 4

Duration: 45 mins


2/3 cup Butter

1 3/4 cups Brown Sugar

1/4 cup dates

2 Eggs

1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract

2 cups All-Purpose Flour

2 teaspoons Ground Ginger

1 teaspoon Baking Powder

1/4 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/4 teaspoon Salt

1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips


1.    In a bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar, and dates using mixer or a whisk

2.    Add in the eggs and vanilla extract

3.    Onto the mixture add the flour, ginger, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and combine well. Sprinkle chocolate chips and gently mix with the batter.

4.    Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until completely cooked

5.    Cool completely and serve hot with black coffee

Zodiac Special Recipes – Blackberry pancake (best for digestion) 

Serves: 2

Duration: 30 minutes


    1 cup boiled quinoa

    1/2 cup vegetable milk 

    Powdered cinnamon 

    2 eggs 

    1 banana 

    Blackberry puree

1.    Crush the boiled quinoa with a food processor and pour a little vegetable milk until you get a thick and creamy cream.  

2.    Add powdered cinnamon, eggs, and a mashed banana to the mixture. Dough consistency should be thick, similar to crepe dough. Add milk or solid ingredients to make it thicker. 

3.    Heat some olive oil in a pan and add the dough, allowing it to simmer on one side before turning it over. 

4.    Once ready, garnish with blackberry puree. Pancakes are ready for breakfast.

Zodiac Special Recipes – Sweet Tofu Cream 


200 g silken tofu 

½ 70% chocolate bar

3 tablespoons coconut oil

½ grated orange


Handful of raisins

3 tablespoons cocoa powder


1. This is a very simple recipe that requires only a food processor. 

2. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie or Voltas microwave with auto-cooking features. Make sure it does not burn. 

3. With the food processor, whip all the ingredients until you achieve the smoothest cream possible. 

4. Serve chocolate in bowls and top it with your favorite toppings. Grated chocolate, dried fruits…

5. Let cool for a few hours and it’s ready to eat.

Zodiac Special Recipes – Pumpkin Custard


200 g pumpkin

1/4 L vegetable drink

125 ml coconut milk

2 tablespoons cinnamon

3 tablespoons cornflour

1. In a pan with boiling water, cook the pumpkin until it tenders. 

2. In a blender, mix the pumpkin with all the ingredients except the cornflour. (Keep a glass of vegetable drink). Whip until uniform and free of lumps. 

3. In a glass with a little bit of vegetable drink, dissolve cornflower in cold water.

4. Boil pumpkin cream and add cornflour gradually. Do not stop stirring the mixture. If there are lumps, pour back into the blender

5. Serve custards in single containers and let them cool down at least for 2 hours in the fridge. Dust with a bit of cinnamon and serve.

Zodiac Special Recipes –Veggie crust pizza 

Duration: 30 mins

Serves: 2 people 


For the dough:

1 Cauliflower

1 egg

2 tablespoons chickpea flour 



For the topping:


Cherry tomatoes


Pine nuts

Mashed tomato


1. Slice the cauliflower as thin as possible; you can use a shredder. Add salt and sauté in a frying pan with a bit of olive oil.

2. Mix the cauliflower with the egg, chickpea flour and oregano to create the dough. Knead until homogeneous.

3. Shape it in a round oven dish and bake for 10 minutes, at 180º C. Remember to preheat the oven.

4. Once the dough is almost ready, add the toppings. 

5. Top with the mashed tomato first, then the spinach, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes, and finally with the pine nuts.

6. Put the pizza back in the oven for 10 more minutes, until the toppings are cooked.

Zodiac Special Recipes – Pea Pancake- VOLTAS

Serves: 2-4

Duration: 30 mins


500 g peas and baby spinach

1/4 avocado 

140 g corn flour

2 eggs

Olive oil 

Tablespoons of water if needed


1. In a cooking pot with boiling water, cook the peas and spinach for 1 minute

2. Pour avocado, flour, eggs, olive oil and peas into a food processor. Mash and add water if needed to make a creamy batter.

3. Add olive oil to a frying pan. Add a tablespoon of the batter. Fry over low heat until the batter browns, then flip it over to the other side.

Duration: 1 hour

Serves: 1 -2 people

6)    Strain and top it on the chilled layer in the glass

8)    Lastly, combine 1 banana, 170 g coconut cream, 15 g unsweetened shredded coconut, 20 g maple or agave syrup, Handful fresh blueberries and coconut flakes, for topping, in a blender and churn 

9)    Now using a funnel, pour the blended mixture on top of the two chilled layers 

10)    Finish it up by topping it with fresh blueberries and coconut flakes

Zodiac Special Recipes – Banana Coconut Milkshake

Duration: 10 mins

Serves: Per person 


    1 large banana

    1 spoonful pure cocoa

    1 spoonful maple syrup

    150 ml coconut milk


1)    Place all the ingredients in a mixer 

2)    Mix until the liquid is uniform

3)    Vary thickness by adding more or less coconut milk

    Fresh lemon juice ( to taste)

    Olive oil( to taste)

    Honey( to taste)

    Minced garlic( to taste)

    Salt and pepper ( to taste)

    50g Chopped basil/cilantro

    100g quartered zucchini

    100 g Chopped fresh tomatoes

    150 g Cubed fresh mozzarella cheese

    Pasta seasoning

    Pinch of salt


1)    Cook the quinoa based on its type by following the directions on the package

2)    Once, it is cool add fresh tomatoes, Zucchini, basil, mozzarella cheese with a pinch of salt, pepper and pasta seasoning

3)    In another bowl, add lemon juice, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, salt and pepper

4)    Pour the dressing on the Quinoa, give it a quick toss and serve it hot. You can also cook quinoa multiple batches of Quinoa on a Sunday and store for over 30 days in Voltas refrigerators.

Zodiac Special Recipes – Fruit Ice Cream


    Frozen banana

    Other fleshy fruit: Mango, strawberry, peach, blueberry…

    Optional: yogurt, soy yogurt, whipped yogurt…

    Toppings: shaved dark chocolate, dried fruits, grated coconut, sunflower seeds, fruit cubes…


1. Cut fruit into cubes or slices, remove peel, stones, and seeds, and freeze them. 

2. When ready to eat, pour banana slices into the food processor and whip until it has the consistency of ice cream. 

3. Add the rest of the fruit and whip again. Cream should be at least 50% banana for good texture.

4. Top with desired toppings.

5. Prepare it when ready to eat it or 15 minutes before, at most, and keep in the freezer; otherwise, instead of a creamy texture it will be hard ice.

Zodiac Special Recipes – Carrot and Chestnut Cream with Greek Yogurt 


    1 leek - white part only

    750 g carrots

    8-10 tablespoons raw chestnuts and 4 roasted chestnuts to decorate

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    Salt, cumin, and pepper

    Greek yogurt with no added sugar


1. Cut the leek into big slices and simmer in a casserole dish with olive oil, the colour changing.

2. Clean and slice the carrots and add them into the casserole with the raw chestnuts, which must be peeled.

3. Cover in two fingers of water and keep boiling until carrots and chestnuts are soft.

4. Blend everything and season it. If is too thick, add some more water until you get the desired texture.

5. Serve with a tablespoon of Greek yogurt and a roasted chestnut as a topping.

Zodiac Special Recipes – Raisin/date cookies 

Duration: 30 mins

Serves: 4-6 people 


    200 g rice flour

    5 g baking soda

    5 g vanilla powder

    150 g raisins/dates ( to taste)

    55g coconut oil


    20 ml lemon juice

    30 g desiccated coconut


1)    Preheat the microwave oven to 180o C 

2)    Mix all ingredients 

3)    Shape the cookies as desired 

4)    Bake for 15 mins until lightly golden 

5)    You can also defrost the cookies in Voltas Microwave and serve it hot with some delicious black coffee.
