Cocktail Curator Gaurav Khurana Shares Tropical Alco-Bev Recipes

Medically, booze can lead to dehydration, but if you make tropical cocktails with fresh juice, keep the count of glasses under moderation, and continue with hydration even after the drinking session, no one can deny you the fun.

Gaurav Khurana, Head of Quality and New Product Development (NPD) at Modi Illva, shared tropical cocktail recipes that will make your parties more fun and memorable. The expert added, “Whether you're chilling solo by the pool, hosting an epic backyard BBQ, or planning the ultimate beach day, there's no better way to channel summer vibes than with a drink that's as cool as you are.”

Tropical Tonic

Gaurav Khurana said, "It is an exotic splash of the tropics in every sip—bright, beachy, and oh-so-refreshing!"

Ingredients

  • 50 ml of vodka
  • 200 ml of guava juice
  • 10 ml of fresh lime juice
  • 15 ml of passionfruit syrup
  • Soda water
  • Mint Sprig

Method

  • In a shaker, combine vodka, guava juice, lime juice, and passionfruit syrup.
  • Shake well with ice until chilled.
  • Strain into a tall glass filled with ice.
  • Top up with soda water.
  • Garnish with a mint sprig and sip into a tropical daydream!

Citrus Blaze

Speaking about this cocktail, the expert added, "It is a zesty explosion of flavour with a hint of spice—perfect for fiery summer nights!"

Ingredients

  • 50 ml of whisky
  • 25 ml of orange juice
  • 10 ml of ginger syrup
  • 2 dashes of smoked paprika
  • Orange peel

Method

  • In a shaker,  mix whisky, orange juice, ginger syrup, and a sprinkle of smoked paprika.
  • Add ice and shake vigorously.
  • Strain into a rock glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with an orange wheel.

Sunshine Spritz

"It is light, fizzy, and packed with fruity goodness—the ultimate summer party starter," said the expert.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml of vodka
  • 20 ml of elderflower cordial
  • 15 ml of fresh lemon juice
  • Sparkling rosé
  • Edible flowers

Method

  • In a shaker, vodka, elderflower cordial, and lemon juice.
  • Shake lightly with ice.
  • Strain into a wine glass filled with ice.
  • Top up with sparkling rosé.
  • Garnish with edible flowers for that picture-perfect summer vibe!

Whisky Island Punch

While sharing the recipe of this cocktail, the curator said, "It is a juicy, sun-kissed cocktail that’ll whisk you straight to a beach party—no plane ticket needed!"

  • 50 ml of whisky
  • 20 ml of pineapple juice
  • 15 ml of pomegranate molasses
  • 10 ml of lime juice
  • Pineapple wedges

Method

  • In a shaker, combine whisky, pineapple juice, pomegranate molasses, and lime juice.
  • Shake well with ice.
  • Strain into a hurricane glass filled with crushed ice.
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
  • Take a sip and let the island vibes wash over you!
