Chilli Garlic Chicken Fried Noodles: Chinese Style Noodles

There's nothing better than noodle time! Whatever the weather, tucking into a bowl of noodles is the definition of comfort food. The strings of bliss come in various shapes and can be combined with a wide variety of ingredients to make delectable meals. Noodles may have been brought to India by merchants from South East Asia and China years ago, but they are now an integral part of the country's culinary culture, where they are known as chowmein and are the centrepiece of the specialised cuisine known as Indian Chinese Cuisine.

Chilli Garlic Chicken Fried Noodles, a traditional Chinese dish, is one of the most popular non-vegetarian variations of noodles. This delicious dish is made with chicken breast that has been stir-fried and then sautéed in soy sauce and red chilli sauce. You can add some of your favourite vegetables to this recipe to add a healthy aspect while still enjoying the flavourful taste. The nicest part about noodles is that they're quick to prepare and healthful because they frequently contain colourful and leafy vegetables. If you're a vegetarian, you may use paneer in place of the chicken in this recipe. You can also add some toasted sesame towards the end to improve the flavour.

Ingredients:

250 gm sliced Chicken breasts

1 tablespoon Sesame oil

2 cloves finely chopped Garlic

3 tablespoon light Soy sauce

1 tablespoon sweet Soy sauce

2 tablespoon cubed Tofu

Sea salt as required

2 tablespoon thinly sliced Carrot

200 gm boiled Egg Noodles

1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil

1 small sliced Onion

2 tablespoon red Chilli Sauce

1 handful chopped Lettuce loose-leaf

1/4 cup sprout Bean

2 tablespoon sliced Red Peppers

Method:

You can buy the pre-boiled noodles that are sold in the market if you want to save time. However, if you have raw noodles at home, preheat a sizeable pot of salted water over a low to medium temperature and bring the water to a boil. After that, add the egg noodles and simmer them for 10 minutes in boiling water. When they're finished, turn off the heat, thoroughly drain the noodles, and then run them under cold water. Re-drain the noodles, then put them in a big bowl. Toss the noodles thoroughly after adding the sesame oil to ensure that they absorb the flavour and do not stick together. On a low burner, boil the chicken pieces in water for 10 minutes. Drain, then set aside. In a deep frying pan over high heat, heat the vegetable oil and sauté the onions and garlic for a minute, or until the onions turn golden brown and transparent. Then add in the chicken pieces with the sautéed onions

Add the red chilli sauce and 3/4 tablespoon of light soy sauce after they have been sauteed for a minute.  Add the cooked egg noodles, remaining light soy sauce, and sweet soy sauce after that.  After thoroughly combining them, cook the noodles for a few seconds. If you don't have these two types of soy sauce, you can use dark soy sauce, which is widely accessible. Heat a little oil in another frying pan over low heat, then add Tofu (paneer can be substituted if tofu isn't available) cubes and fried until golden brown. After that, add to the pan the lettuce, carrots, capsicum, and bean sprouts. Gently combine them with the tofu and heat for one minute. When your vegetables are finished cooking, take the frying pan from the heat, add all the cooked noodles, and gently toss everything together once more. Serve hot, the chilli garlic chicken fried noodles are ready. You can try this delicious recipe on days when you don't want to make an elaborate dinner.
