After all, unlike our other meals like breakfast, lunch or dinner, there is thankfully, no definite time to open a packet of chips. And let’s be honest, once a pack of chips are opened, there is no stopping until you lay claim over that last piece of chip. Besides chips are so versatile, and can be eaten with almost anything from mint chutney to mayonnaise. But what do you do when you suddenly crave those crunchy potato chips but there's none at home. What do you do? Well, celebrity chef Saransh Goila has the perfect answer. The celebrity chef, who is known for his unique recipes, keeps sharing fun fusion recipes besides tips on social media. In a video shared on his Instagram account, he shows us how to prepare the “perfect masala chips” at home. In a short clip he prepares a bowl of crunchy desi masala chips with homemade masala and we are surprised how easy it can be! Take a look:

According to the Saransh Goila's quick and easy recipe, you need to thinly slice and rinse about six potatoes in cold water a few times. Now boil these slices for three minutes and take them out on absorbent paper, and dry out. Then prepare a masala mix in a separate bowl using onion powder, garlic powder, chilli powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, amchur powder, salt, black salt and some powdered sugar. Now, double fry the potato slices – first on medium heat and then on high flame until crisp and crunchy.

Take the chips in a bowl and add the homemade masala mix to it. Toss the bowl well and your homemade crispy masala chips are ready to be noshed! “No one can eat just one of these for sure because it's delicious and this bowl was wiped out in seconds,” Goila wrote in the caption of the post. Isn’t it amazing how we can prepare those store-like chips at home? No more running to the market for them anymore!
