Cowpeas, also known as chawli or black-eyed beans, are cream-colored with a black mark on the inner curve. Black-eyed beans have very thick skin. How To Buy

How To Store 

Dry beans must always be kept in a dry, airtight container at room temperature; they should never be kept in the refrigerator. Beans should be utilised within a year of storage. They could get less moist with time, making soaking and cooking more laborious. 

Beans can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days after being cooked in an airtight container that is covered. But if it's necessary, put the leftover food in the freezer. When both open and unopened, it can last for two weeks.
