Cocktails never go out of style whether we are in the midst of hot summers or winters. It’s time you keep your summer drinks aside and switch to hot beverages. Meet Asiatico, a drink perfect for chilly mornings or cozy evenings. Asiatico is a Spanish alcoholic drink made with a touch of freshly brewed coffee. This Spanish drink is blended using condensed milk, brandy and coffee with a hint of cinnamon. Tracing the origins of this Spanish drink reveals that it may have originated somewhere in the middle of the 19th century. The drink was created by a bar owner, working in the Spanish city of Cartagena. It is believed that the drink was already known before its invention. The local fishermen used to carry poor-quality coffee, brandy, and milk with them. They would often make a drink out of these ingredients, that helped them stay warm and cozy during the fishing time. During the 19th century, this alcoholic drink was associated with Russian origins. In fact, it was called out by the name ‘ Ruso’, a short form of ‘Russian’. The name was finally replaced after several disputes and controversies.

You can relish flavours anytime you are in the mood for a glass of cocktail. Or perhaps on the days when you are feeling chilled to the bone? Be your own bartender and blend this boozy drink at home.
