Ginger is utilised in many different dishes and beverages in homes during the winter, from curries to biscuits, cocktails to teas. It has a crisp flavour with a spicy undertone that, when added to food, helps the body fight inflammation while also warming the stomach and boosting immunity. Given the wide variety of veggies available nowadays, it might be challenging to distinguish between authentic and fake ones.

Make sure to ignore the chance to buy ginger if you happen to see some that is exceptionally clean and has a very transparent peel. The peel of Adrak is covered with a lot of filth, but many people are unaware that certain types of acids are used to clean it. 

Real ginger has a very thin skin or peel that is easy to prick with your fingernails. A strong aroma will release if you do so. The peel or skin will be extremely tough and difficult to puncture if it isn't genuine adrak, though. 

Finally, but certainly not least, smell the ginger. Impure or fake ginger will not have any smell, whereas real ginger would have a distinct, pungent smell.
