Anant Ambani-Radhika Merchant's Wedding Food Arrangements

When it comes to billionaire weddings, the Ambanis sure know how to be the most generous hosts. Ensuring that the attendees of the wedding functions set to take place from March 1-3 are more than happy and well taken care of, the family has pulled out all stops to make each detail as grandiose as possible. To begin with, the pre-wedding function that will take place on the first day, will see a menu prepared by 21 chefs from Indore in all its glory. The team, flying in from the Jardin Hotel, will be a women-dominated operation and a single male member, who have been hired to ensure that each dish is perfect.

In addition to this, the food arrangements for the main wedding functions will be a global affair – from Parsi thalis to Thai, Japanese and Pan Asian food items, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy just about anything they’d have a craving for. With a mandate issued to avoid repetition of dishes, breakfast meals are set to feature 75 dishes, followed by lunch and dinner – which will feature 225 and 275 dishes respectively. If this wasn’t enough, guests who choose to stay up until the wee hours from midnight to 4:00 am, will also have 85 dishes to binge on if they’re hungry.

Another exciting feature of the wedding menu will be the Ambani’s very own version of Indore’s Sarafa Food Centre that will be dishing out some of the iconic regional delicacies. Iconic offerings like the bhutte ka kees, khopra patties, poha-jalebi, kachori and upma will be some of the attractions at this food centre – where cooks will also carry their own spice blends to give food an authentic ‘Indori’ taste. With magnates like Bill Gates, Larry Fink, Sundar Pichai and Mark Zuckerberg expected to join the illustrious guest list of Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, guests are also set to be enthralled by performances from Rihanna and Arijit Singh.
