If there’s anything apart from the architectural gems and rich culture that Lucknow is well-known for, it has to be their food. The delicious cuisine that the ‘city of nawabs’ boasts has never failed to disappoint a single foodie. And Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi just testified to that. The two actors have been busy promoting their soon-to-be released film, Om - The Battle Within. The duo was spotted in Lucknow recently and well, it would be unfair to leave the city without a taste of their fare. While both the actors are quite particular about their fitness routines and diet regimes, both of them decided to cheat on their diets for a day to savour the best of Lucknowi cuisine.

In a video being circulated on social media, the two actors were seen entering a famous Lucknowi restaurant, called The Mughal’s Dastarkhwan. While the place was fancy and pretty, it was the food spread on the table that had our heart. Aditya looks into the camera to tell us about the food while Sanjana is busy eating. The two actors wanted to relish an authentic Lucknowi feast and their table was full of all the tempting delicacies.

There were galouti kebabs on one side of the table and seekh kebabs in the centre. For the unversed, galouti kebabs are soft pieces of minced meat that are shaped into kebabs to be served with a side of chutney and onion rings. These kebabs originated in Lucknow and literally translate into melt-in-your-mouth just like their taste. Next, there was mutton boti and chicken malai in curries which was enjoyed with a side of traditional Indian breads like naan. There was a keema dish which the actor described as an interesting one and a handi of korma which looked irresistible.

Aditya and Sanjana were on a food trail in the city as they were then spotted travelling in an e-rickshaw to a popular dessert place. As soon as someone suggested that they try the Lucknowi kulfi, they head to a dessert place in Aminabad for a kulfi falooda treat too. Their food bonanza in the city was absolutely drool-worthy and slightly nostalgic for Aditya as he recalled his shoot days in Lucknow for an old film.
