While most people pay a lot of heed towards healthy meal planning, snacking in between meals is something that is generally not given due consideration. Due to a lack of planning and the unavailability of appropriate options, people end up eating the wrong kind of food which might trigger indigestion in the body and also lead to gaining weight.

It's almost next to impossible to suppress one's desire, to eat some of the other light snacks in between meals, especially while working. So the right way to go about snacking during the day is to choose some healthy options. Here are some low-fat snacks that one may carry with them to the office for healthy office snacking.

* Chia Pudding

And overnight Chia pudding is one of the healthy snacks that one can have. It also takes just five minutes of pre-preparation and it is ready to be taken the next day to the office. One has to take a small jar and add some milk and two spoons of Chia seeds. The next day, the Chia seeds will be perfectly synthesised with the milk and ready to be added with different ingredients. In this mixture, one can add some fresh fruits, a little bit of honey, and some dry fruits. It has all the right amount of antioxidants and also is very light.

* Masala Roasted Makhana

Fox nuts are called makhanas in India and they are very light and crunchy as a snack. Instead of having chips, and other preservative-rich snacks, one should go for some dry roasted makhanas and sprinkle them with some salt, black pepper, and chaat masala for the flavour. These are very light but at the same time help in curbing the urge of a person to eat something. The best part is that one can keep on munching the snakes without even having to feel guilty.

* Chickpea Chaat

Chickpea chaat is one of the most fulfilling snacks and is a great option for people who do not feel satisfied with some light snacks. It is a full-blown pre-meal salad that is going to satiate one's cravings to the core. To make this chaat one has to take some pre-boiled chickpeas and make them with some chopped onions and tomatoes. In this one can add some lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

* Banana And Peanut 

Peanut butter and banana toast is the famous post-workout or pre-workout snack. However, one can have it at any time of the day as it instantly gives energy to the body and also has a delicious and creamy taste. To make this delicious snack, one has to simply take a slice of bread and lather it with some crunchy peanut butter. On the top one cannot have slices of bananas and have it in between regular meals. * Mixed Fruit Chaat

A mixed fruit chaat is a concoction of different types of fruits and is the Indian version of fruit salad.
