8 Eateries In Delhi To Make The Most OF Monsoon This Year

The monsoon season has finally blessed the capital city after much wait and Delhiites can’t be happier. And what does that mean for dilliwallahs? We can finally enjoy the rains at some of the prettiest places in town! Without a doubt, Delhi has some absolutely stunning eateries with equally beautiful vibe, that just amps up during the monsoon season. Be it the upscale lanes of Khan Market, the charm of Connaught Pace or the rustic vibe of Champa Gali, each place has some eateries we can never get enough of. Planning a chai date amid the rains or just wanting to meet your friends to drive around the city, we’ve got eight of the best places to check out before monsoon ends.

1. Triveni Café

We are never getting enough of Triveni. Be it in the winter sun or monsoon rains, the delightful terrace café with lush green amphitheater to look out at, has our hearts forever. Sip on some chai with assorted pakodas, shami kebabs, palat patta chaat and other munchies this monsoon.

2. Mia Bella

What’s better than gawking at the picturesque view of the clouds over HKV Fort and lake on these windy days? If that’s what your dream date is like, Mia Bella is just the perfect place to be this monsoon. Known to be one of the most romantic spots in the city, Mia Bella also offers some delish snacks to complement the weather including seekh kebabs, chicken wings and cappuccino!

3. Diggin

We are yet to come across a list of must-try cafes in Delhi without the mention of Diggin. Right from the stunning outdoors full of greenery and fairy lights to the vibrant indoor seating, Diggin is worth all the hype, and the signature dishes are a cherry on the top. While you sit at the balcony of Diggin Café in Anand Lok when the rains pour in, do not miss their crispy zucchini fries, their signature ravioli and rosemary grilled chicken.

4. AMA Café

AMA Cafe never gets old to get off our list of must-try places, monsoon or no monsoon. Keeping everything aside though, the place with its big windows, the stunning view, the vibe and the soul-satisfying food makes it a perfect monsoon place! You have to try their chilli cheese fries, BBQ chicken sandwich and the popular mud cake.

5. Olive

Can you tell us about a more picturesque courtyard than the one at Olive Qutub under that giant banyan tree? Olive is a popular hotspot for Delhiites for its alluring ambience and delightful vibe, even when it isn’t monsoon season. The courtyard is nestled between three restaurants and we think you’ll have a great time at The Grammer Room and its balcony overlooking lush green area during the rains too. Do savour Olive’s exquisite pesto verdure gnocchi!

6. The Potbelly

Besides the fact that it is indeed the only cafe serving delicious Bihari cuisine, Potbelly café is a stunning place to spend a rainy afternoon. Quaint and cosy, you can spend hours here noshing on chana dal & pyaaz kachri basket, litti chokha, and more.

7. Colocal

What’s better than a quaint, beautiful café on a rainy day? A brand new entrant in Delhi, Colocal has already made waves amongst the foodies for being extremely insta-worthy with its French windows, open courtyard in the center of the spacious place and drool-worthy chocolate desserts. That’s not all, while their hot chocolate is to die for, don’t forget to nosh on pepperoni pizza!

8. Jugmug Thela

The transition of Jugmug Thela from being one of the hidden gems to a hotspot for chai dates has been swift, thanks to its street side sitting, going well with the name. Over the years, the place has expanded into a chic backyard with trees and fairy lights. This could be a great workplace during the day and a perfect date place in the evening. Munch on crispy sandwiches and toasts along with tea or coffee while at it. They also serve amazing Vietnamese coffee!

So, what are you waiting for? Mask up, sanitise and head out to enjoy a socially distanced monsoon this year.
