Salt to taste


Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, sliced green chilies, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.

Add the finely shredded red cabbage to the pan. Mix well. Add turmeric powder and grated coconut to the cabbage. Stir to combine.

1 medium-sized red cabbage, thinly shredded

2 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 onion, finely chopped

2 green chilies, finely chopped

1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander leaves for garnish


Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter. Add finely chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.

Add the shredded red cabbage to the pan. Stir well to coat the cabbage with the spices. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally until the cabbage is tender but still retains a slight crunch.
