7 Dried Kiwi Cocktails For Weekend Parties During The Summer

People add lots of different fruits and berries to their mixed drinks. But how often do you see dried kiwi cocktails on the menu? If you head to a bar, you'll see lots of lemon and lime wedges, maybe some orange slices, and a few maraschino cherries too. But dried kiwis, though? Not so much. But don’t you think it’s time to change that? So, grab a few ripe, dried kiwis and get ready to sip on dried kiwi cocktails this summer.

Dried kiwis pair well with several spirits. The sweet flavour profile of the dried kiwis provides an exciting complement to spirits like gin, vodka, rum, and tequila. Muddling dried kiwis and using them as a garnish can add a pop of colour and a burst of flavour. Dried kiwi chutney swirled into vodka or tequila makes an alternative to traditional citrus garnishes.

In addition to fresh dried kiwis, dried kiwis are also delicious and make fantastic cocktail ingredients. To make dried kiwis, fresh dried kiwis are peeled, sliced, and dehydrated, reducing their moisture while concentrating the flavours. Dried kiwis have a chewy texture and an intensely sweet, tangy taste. They add tons of flavour and visual appeal to cocktails.

Reach for some dried kiwi next time and with a little creativity and some dried kiwi slices, you can easily turn any basic cocktail into a super fun, fruity dried kiwi cocktail.
