6 Peppermint Mocktails To Sip On This Evening

Known for its cool and refreshing essence, peppermint extract is an important ingredient for flavouring a wide variety of culinary delights including beverages such as hot chocolate, teas and caffeinated drinks. Just a few drops of the extracts of this herb can add a surprising touch to plenty of mixed drinks. Green Grasshopper Mocktail 

This cold, creamy and refreshing mocktail is a replica of the famous grasshopper cocktail but without alcohol. It features white hot chocolate mix with half and half cream and peppermint extract. Served in a chilled martini glass, it can be garnished with whipped cream and peppermint sprig.  

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoon white hot chocolate mix 
  • 6 tablespoon boiling water 
  • 1 ½ cups half and half cream 
  • 1 cup milk 
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract 
  • 1 teaspoon green food colouring  

Method 

  • Add 3 tbsps each of hot water and white chocolate mix to 2 glasses and whisk until powder completely dissolves into water. 
  • Add milk, cream, peppermint extract and green food colouring, dividing between both glasses and stir until incorporated. 
  • Add ice and serve.

Peppermint Mojito Mocktail   

Mint leaves are a primary ingredient in the original mojito which adds a subtle flavour to the drink. But if you prefer a bright and concentrated minty taste then peppermint mojito is the ideal for you on a hot sunny day. It is best enjoyed at pool parties or summer brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon lime juice  
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup   
  • 12 peppermint leaves  
  • Ice   
  • Club soda  
  • 1/2 lime, sliced `  

Method  

  • Combine the lime juice, simple syrup, lime slice, ice and peppermint leaves in a tall serving glass.  
  • Using the back of a wooden spoon to gently muddle the ingredients.  
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes and top it with club soda. Serve chilled.

Peppermint Cranberry Mocktail  

This tangy and sweet mocktail is perfect for all-year round. Made with club soda, simple syrup, cranberry juice and peppermint syrup, it is usually served in an old-fashioned glass. You can enhance the taste and appearance of the mocktail with fresh cranberries and peppermint stems.

  • 240 ml cranberry juice  
  • 180 ml club soda  
  • 6 tablespoon peppermint syrup  
  • 4 tablespoon lemon juice  
  • 150 ml simple syrup  

Method  

  • In a cocktail Shaker, combine peppermint syrup, cranberry juice, club soda, lemon juice, and simple syrup.  
  • Add a handful of ice and shake until well combined. Pour the mocktail into the serving glasses.  
  • Garnish as per your choice and enjoy.  

Chocolate Peppermint Mocktail  

Crafted with rich chocolate and aromatic peppermint extract, this non-alcoholic drink gets ready in less than 5 minutes. To give it an exquisite look, drizzle the cocktail glass with melted chocolate before pouring the drink. Top it with a dollop of whipped cream before serving. 

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup almond milk   
  • 2 shots of espresso, chilled  
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder  
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup  
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract   

Method  

  • Add milk, espresso, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and peppermint extract to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously until totally smooth.

Method  

  • Make a batch of peppermint tea and leave to cool.  
  • Take a wine glass and fill it with ice.  
  • Into a cocktail shaker add peppermint tea, lemon juice, syrup and ice and shake well.  
  • Strain into glass. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with lemon wheel and peppermint sprig and serve.

  • ½ cup hot chocolate  
  • ¼ cup strong coffee or espresso

Method  

  • Add the hot coffee or espresso to the hot chocolate along with both the extracts. Combine well.
