While the world of magic created by J.K Rowling exists only in books and movies, we can still get a bite of it by baking a sugar-filled indulgence that displays everything we love about Harry Potter and Hogwarts. Instead of waiting for our letter to the best school of witchcraft and wizardry, you can create magic in your kitchen.

The recipes listed below do not need much sorcery to whip up a delicious dessert. Though you will have to work hard, the end result will be worth all the hassle. Muggles roll up your sleeves because baking is where you will make potions that will leave you in a gastronomical heaven.
Cauldron Cakes
In the first book or film, Harry bought these delights for Ron when the two of them were travelling in the Hogwarts Express, and they built the foundation of their friendship on this. To prepare this treat, you will need buttermilk, baking powder, sugar, chocolate chips, and green food colouring to ensure that they look exactly like what we saw in the film.
Butterbeer Cupcakes
In this cold weather, what could be better than a dessert that will instantly transport you to the wizardly world of Hogwarts? Each little cupcake topped with butterscotch syrup is sure to leave your stomach in gastronomical heaven. Your tummy will be full but your heart will desire more.
Cockroach Clusters
Do you remember Ron trying to give his brothers Cockroach Clusters that were sold in the Hogsmeade's Honeydukes Sweet Shop? You can make your chocolaty and vegan versions at home with minimal effort and ingredients. These cookies are super easy to make and require only 15-20 minutes of preparation and cooking time. Once you have poured the melted chocolate into moulds, added pecan or walnut halves to each mould, and refrigerated for 30-60 minutes, your Harry Potter-themed dessert will be ready to serve. It has the potential to be a huge hit among kids as well as adults.
Chocolate Frogs
Remember the gooey frog that escaped out of the window of the Hogwarts Express? You can create that at home, and it would taste delicious because, unlike a real frog, it would be made with marshmallows, chocolate, and peanuts. To make them appear real, you can add edible googly eyes to each candy.
Treacle Tart
The definition of a perfect tart is a crisp crust and soft caramel filling. It was Potter’s favourite dessert, and you cannot call yourself a Potterhead if you do not try it out. With the rich and fresh flavours of ginger and cinnamon, Treacle Tart is a sweet dish that you won’t be able to have enough of.
Chocolate Wands
If it wasn’t for wands, the world of Hogwarts would not have existed. They were the source of sorcery in the book as well as the film. If you are planning a Harry Potter-themed birthday or bachelor/ bachelorette party, make these sticks using chocolate and crushed biscuits. You can also relish them at midnight while enjoying a Harry Potter re-run.
