6 Grenadine Cocktails To Elevate Your Evening Celebrations

Besides spirits, liqueurs, herbs and spices, syrups also play a vital role in shaping the taste and flavour of your drink. Made with pomegranate juice, grenadine is one of the commonly used syrups in cocktails. Created along with sugar and lemon juice, it gives a perfect balance to tart and sweet tones to your drinks. Whether homemade or bought, this syrup is always a great addition to cocktails.

Coming to its origin, it is believed to have been found in the Middle East. The term ‘grenadine’ is derived from the French word ‘grenade’ which means pomegranate. This syrup gained popularity with the introduction of the cocktail, Jack Rose, created in 1905. Apart from enhancing the flavour, grenadine also has the ability to add a gorgeous reddish or pink tint to the drinks.
