6 Desserts You Can Make Using Chocolate Drink Powder

Chocolate drink powder is among a few versatile ingredients for bakers and home bakers. When you are running short of authentic supplies, you can always use it as a substitute, and no one will ever understand the difference. One of the best aspects of using any chocolate drink powder to bake desserts is children love this ingredient in their milk. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that you will goof up and not impress them.

Many chocolate drink mixtures also come with added nutrition, making them a better ingredient than other ingredients. Whether you are planning to bake cookies or cake, any chocolate drink powder can be used to substitute cocoa powder, chocolate bar, and chocolate syrup.

Fudge

You will need the chocolate drink powder, condensed milk, sugar, salted butter, milk, and salt to make this delicious dessert. It will be soft, and its melt-in-the-mouth texture will leave your guests wanting for more. When you bake this dessert, don’t forget to combine all the ingredients into a smooth paste with nary lump. You will also have to leave it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to set.

Cookies

If you don’t have cocoa powder at home but have to bake cookies for a children’s gathering, there is no need to run to a grocery store. You have to search for the chocolate drink mixture in your pantry, and all your problems will be solved. Instead of cocoa powder, add this mixture to the cookie dough along with chocolate essence and chocolate chips (if you have them stocked up). Bake the cookies for 15-20 minutes. Leave them to rest and serve them to children. You can also store them and give them to your child in moderate amounts.

Pudding

Use this chocolate drink powder to make a lip-smacking pudding that even adults can’t get enough of. For this, you will need cocoa powder and cornstarch in small quantities to ace the flavour and texture. After cooking these ingredients along with milk and sugar, allow the concoction to cool off and thicken a bit. Transfer it into a glass bowl and refrigerate for a couple of hours before digging in.

Cake

If you don’t have cocoa powder and still want to bake a chocolate cake, blend the chocolate drink mixture in a food processor. This will turn it into a fine powder with no large chunks (if it had them originally). Using eggs, oil, baking powder, sugar, salt, and baking soda, make the batter for the cake and bake it for 30 minutes. You will witness that a cake made of chocolate drink mixture will turn out even better because it won’t have the slightly bitter taste of cocoa powder.

Brownies

You can use the chocolate drink mixture to make delicious brownies. In the traditional recipe, replace cocoa powder with the beverage powder, and you will be sorted. For this recipe, you can even leave the big chocolate chunks in the powder as they are. Bake soft brownies and store them in an airtight container. You can serve them with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup drizzle on top.

Barfi

Once you have tried baking all kinds of desserts, try giving an Indian dessert a makeover by making chocolate barfi using chocolate drink powder. Mix it with hot water, milk, sugar, milk powder, chopped nuts, and ghee. Cook this combination over a low flame until the texture becomes smooth. Once you are happy with the consistency of the mixture, add nuts on the top and allow it to rest. As soon as the chocolate barfi mixture settles, cut square or rectangular sweets and store them in the refrigerator.
