Life can be hectic, and on most days, when you’re craving something sweet, you might not have the bandwidth to make a dessert. Whether you're entertaining guests, treating yourself after a long day, or simply in need of a quick dessert fix, finding delicious recipes that won't keep you stuck in the kitchen for hours can feel like a far-fetched dream. But that doesn’t mean you have to skip the dessert completely.

To cater to your sweet tooth while adhering to your small window of time for prepping desserts, here’s a list of desserts that can be made in no time. It doesn’t matter if you bake quite often and have the ingredients by heart or just make your way to the kitchen; these quick recipes are easy for everyone to make. Just remember to have some essentials like flour, sugar, milk, fruits, cocoa powder, etc, in stock and ready to use.

Mug Cupcakes

Mug cupcakes are the easiest and quickest desserts that can be made in microwaves and also in air fryers, depending on your preference. To make the cupcakes, you can either go for a premixed packet if you’re in a bad time crunch or make the batter from scratch. For the batter, you’ll need to start by adding flour, sugar, cocoa powder, butter or oil as per your preference, and milk depending on the consistency. You can quickly whisk all the ingredients together with a blender or with a spoon. Next, you need to get microwave-safe mugs and pour the batter into the mugs. Don’t fill the mugs to the brim, as the batter will rise once heated. Wait for about three to five minutes, and your cupcakes will be ready to dig into.

Berry and Ice Cream Parfait

If you are fond of including the freshness of fruits in your desserts, berry parfaits would be perfect for you. For making a drool-worthy parfait in no time, you’ll need berries of your liking, such as strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, etc, a pack of sweet biscuits, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. You can start by taking a dessert glass and laying down a layer of crushed biscuits. Next, take the berries, blend them in an electric mixer with some sugar and cream and place the mixture on top of the layer of biscuits. Add some vanilla ice cream on the top and repeat the layer of your fruity berry mixture. Finally, top it off with an optional whirl of whipped cream, and your parfait is ready!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Cookies are the all-time favourite desserts for most people. These easy-to-make cookies can even be made in less than half an hour if you freeze the cookie dough that can last up to 2 months.

To make them from scratch, you’ll need to preheat the oven while you prepare the dough. Start by adding flour, baking soda, and a little salt in a bowl and whisk the ingredients. In a separate bowl, take some butter, eggs, sugar and a few drops of vanilla essence and mix them together. Gradually add the dry ingredients and keep mixing till you get a uniform mixture. Scoop out the dough, place it on a baking sheet, and bake it for ten minutes. Let the cookies cool, and enjoy the crunch.

Apple Crisps

Apple crisps are a healthier choice for desserts that can be made quickly without requiring an extensive list of ingredients. For starters, take an apple, and slice it evenly. Now, add the slices in a bowl with sugar and cinnamon and coat the apple slices. In a separate bowl, take flour, oats, sugar, and some melted butter, and mix them together. Next, take the slices, give them a final coat of this mixture and set them in a baking tray on butter paper. Wait for twenty minutes, and you’ll have the delicious apple crisps ready. If you want a sumptuous dessert, you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and soothe your sweet tooth.

Banana Cream Pie

If you’re a fan of puddings, give the banana cream pie a chance to be present at your dining table. All you need is a pudding mixture, bananas, milk, whipped cream and biscuits. You can start by taking a bowl and whisking the pudding mixture and milk topped with a few drops of vanilla essence. Now, take a large plate and lay some crushed biscuits to give the pie a thick crust and add some whipped cream on the top. On the layer of whipped cream, add the pudding mixture you just whisked and top it off with some banana slices. All that’s left is to refrigerate till the cream pie is cold, and you’re done finger-licking within thirty minutes.
