Steak Pizzaiola & Pasta Recipe

Cooking Directions

• STEP 1.Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
• STEP 2.Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
• STEP 3.Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
• STEP 4.Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
• STEP 5.In the same skillet, add onions and garlic and cook until softened.
• STEP 6.Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, and red pepper flakes to the skillet.
• STEP 7.Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 10 minutes.
• STEP 8.Return the steak to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes until the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
• STEP 9.While the steak is simmering, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
• STEP 10.Serve the steak pizzaiola over the cooked pasta and garnish with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
