Thats when we turn to the simple magic of the penang afrididi, a classic don the beachcomber recipe from the late 1930s. The light and amber rums are straightforward and easy-to-drink, and the rest of the flavor comes from a big, vibrant bouquet of citrus juice and passion fruit syrup, along with a few drops of absinthe. Its still a tiki drink, but its fairly streamlined as tiki drinks go. Weve made many converts to the tiki side with the penang afrididi its virtually impossible not to love.
