This jalapeno popper stuffed shells recipe combines the creamy, spicy goodness of jalapeno poppers with the comfort of stuffed pasta shells. It's a lovely fusion of flavours that's perfect for those who enjoy a bit of heat with their comfort food.
STEP 1.Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set them aside.
STEP 2.In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, chopped jalapeno peppers, crumbled bacon, salt & pepper and chopped cilantro.
STEP 3.Carefully stuff each cooked pasta shell with the jalapeno popper filling mixture. You can use a spoon to scoop the mixture into the shells.
STEP 4.In a separate bowl, whisk together the tomato sauce, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
STEP 5.Spread a small amount of the sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish. Pour the sauce mixture over the stuffed shells.
STEP 6.Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 25-30 minutes, or until the shells are heated through and the sauce is bubbly.
