Haleem (Khichra) is a thick yummy and filling dish that is made up of wheat, lentils and shredded meat. It's normally slow-cooked to develop it's excellent flavour and helps create it's paste-like consistency.
STEP 3.Crush the ginger,garlic salt and green chilies into a paste
STEP 4.Heat a pan with oil and fry the meat brown
STEP 5.Set aside
STEP 6.Temper oil with bay leaves,cardamom,cinnamon,cloves,peppercorns
STEP 7.Add the sliced onions and salt
STEP 8.Fry well until brown
STEP 9.Add the paste prepared
STEP 10.Add 35g barista
STEP 11.Add the meat and mix well
STEP 12.Transfer it in a pressure cooker
STEP 13.Cook for 1hour
STEP 14.Separate the meat from the bones
STEP 15.Store the meat in the fridge
STEP 16.Cut the meat into chunks
STEP 17.Bring the broth to boil
STEP 18.Add the grains to the broth and add the meat
STEP 19.Cook for 1hour
STEP 20.Blend everything
STEP 21.Return in the pan
STEP 22.Add more meat chunks and milk
STEP 23.Garnish with green chilies,chopped mint leaves, lime juice and ghee fried potatoes
STEP 24.Serve with bread rolls
