Be it an early morning bite or a late lunch, you can have a vegetable bowl at any time of the day. It is a hassle-free dish that can be prepared in a jiffy. All you need is a good stock of vegetables in your pantry and a fast chopping speed. Literally anything can fit into a vegetable bowl and the best way to eat them is to keep them fresh and crunchy. The crunchiness is believed to make you chew more and give you a sense of fulfillment. This makes you eat lesser than usual while not keeping you starving. What’s the difference between a salad and a vegetable bowl you ask?

Well, in case of a veggie bowl, you won’t find any sort of lean protein but salads can be loaded with chicken, meat and the like. Another fact about salad bowls is that they often come with a dressing, from a light creamy one to a hot and spicy sauce. However, loaded lunch bowls are usually dry just like the one Gauahar Khan is enjoying at Cannes. The Indian television and film actress is currently in Cannes with her husband and having a great time.

A small town overlooking the French Riveria, Cannes is a beautiful place with sandy beaches. Gauahar was seen relaxing on the beach and chilling around when we spotted her lunch. She took to her Instagram stories to share a glimpse of her lunch bowl. It was a huge bowl filled with a variety of vegetables. The bowl looked really colourful and we could see some purple cabbage, sliced avocados, edamame, grated carrots, some rice and seafood like shrimps on the side. There’s a glass of black sauce in the centre and we’re guessing it is soy sauce.

This delicious lunch bowl with a beautiful view already has our heart. Want to make a loaded and nutritious bowl all by yourself? Here are a few tips and tricks that will come in handy.

Tips And Tricks For A Lunch Bowl

1.  Choose Your Grains

Pick the grains that you want to add to your bowl. It could be brown rice, quinoa, barley or the like. Layer the grains at the bottom of the bowl after cooking them. They are a great source of fibre.

2.  Load Up On The Vegetables

Eggplant, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, onions and cucumbers are sliced and tossed in a pan to be sautéed. You can roast or grill the vegetables too if you like. These are added to the bowl and spread out on the grains.

3.  Layer The Protein

Next, it is time for some protein. Pick lean meats like chicken, seafood like shrimps or even tofu as they work best in such bowls. Cook them properly and add generous amounts of protein to the bowl.

4.  Drizzle The Sauce

This is entirely your call. Depending on the flavours you like, you can pick Romesco for heat, pesto for some earthiness and hummus for a creamy and smooth touch to your bowl. Pour a little amount of sauce so that you can enjoy the individual flavours of the ingredients too.

5.  Garnish With Seeds And Herbs

A sprinkle of sesame seeds or fresh herbs can actually enhance the taste of the bowl. You could grate some crumbled cheese too.
