After all, trying unusual cuisine throughout the workweek might be a little difficult. We have a recipe that could be perfect for anyone wishing to prepare something delicious, luxurious, and original this weekend. You have long praised sweet potatoes as the most adaptable vegetable. However, it turns out that its sweet tuber relative, shakarkandi, could also shine in a number of top-notch dishes. Though you could enjoy shakarkandi ka halwa, have you ever had Shakarkandi halwa?

In India, a common vrat staple is aloo ka halwa, or potato halwa. During Navratri, it is cooked lavishly. Ingredients:

  •  1/2 Kg boiled sweet potato 
  • 1 cup boiled milk 
  •  1/4 cup sugar 
  • Ghee  
  • Cashew Nuts  
  • Badam 
  • Raisins 
  • A pinch of saffron (Optional) 
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder 

Method:

  • Grate, peel, and boil the sweet potato.
  • Add ghee, cashews, badam, and raisins to a pan.
  • Keep them aside once they have been cooked.
  • Now add ghee, grated sweet potato to another pan and cook for a while.
  • Now include the cooked and cooled milk.
  • Ten minutes of cooking is required to completely remove the moisture.
  • Add sugar once the milk has evaporated.
  • Add a dash of ghee, cardamom powder, and saffron. Combine everything.
  • After that, thoroughly combine in the toasted nuts.

The Shakarandi Halwa is prepared. Serve hot.
