Hyderabadi Haleem, a meat stew prepared with the desired meat, lentils and crushed wheat is a decadent dish completed with traditional spices. Nihar, another Hyderabadi dish has its origins in the Mughal Empire and is mostly prepared during the festival of Eid. It is probably one of the spiciest dishes in Hyderabadi cuisine. Desserts are also a favourite treat for street food lovers and Hyderabad has a lot to offer from shahi tukra, qubani ka meetha and phirni. Qubani ka meetha is a crowd favourite prepared using dried apricots and topped with almonds and often served with ice cream or garnished with malai.
